I know you are asking the question, it's the most frequently asked question here on aboveallhouseplans.com. aren't curved walls expensive?

In years past, curved walls required extra labor and therefore extra cost. walls are created by using a sandwich of vertical 2-by material (2x6 or 2x4) in between horizontal layers of 2-by material. simple enough when doing straight runs of walls, but what happens when you make a curved wall? well this is where the framer becomes a carpenter, and draws out the desired curve on expensive plywood, then he uses a jigsaw to cut out enough templates to make up for the thickness in the top and bottom plates of the framed wall.

Now you can see why it was expensive to do curved walls.

Curved walls are now easier than ever, this new product www.flexc.com makes everything a breeze. now the framer simply lays out the curved wall on the deck or pad and then slides this winding snake of material, the flex c plate. attaches it to the deck. then inserts his vertical 2-by material and then applies the top flex c plate along the top of the 2-bys'. it's incredibly simple and very cost effective.
