Fire Resistant House Plans:
Building a house plan that is fire resistant requires
exterior materials that are fire proof or have high fire ratings. These house
plan materials include concrete or tile roofing; brick, stone, concrete, or
stucco exterior walls. Using these materials will also decrease the amount of
home owner’s insurance you pay. There are several home building systems
available that will reduce the risk of interior fires as well, although priced
higher than standard building systems. Using products that have high fire
ratings can decrease the amount of damage caused by fire, along with the use of
smoke and heat detectors
Landscaping plays a very important role in fire resistant
house plans. By planting certain types of fire resistant vegetation that remain
green during the four seasons and spacing them apart from each other and a safe
distance from the house itself, the risk of fire from an outside source is
greatly reduced. Home building patios and concrete firewalls around the
structure provide a distinct advantage also.
